I use pivot tables everyday to answer pretty much any of the questions my colleagues may have about any type of information or data.  The beautiful thing about pivot tables is that they allow you to quickly and easily summarize large sets of data where you will have grouped information for certain fields.

This video post looks at how to use Excel Tables to create Pivot Tables and prevents you from having to update your source data range every time changes are made to your source data.  Using Excel Tables for your data source on a pivot table allows you to make your data source dynamic which is a good thing for you because you’ll only need to refresh your pivot table data instead of having to make updates to your data source range every time something changes.
